About the Job

Associated Spring / AMFT is hiring a Coiling Machine Operator / Setup to join our manufacturing team in Corry, PA.

In this hands-on position, you will set up and operate machines that turn metal wire into springs and other formed parts. You will make machine adjustments, solve production problems, and check finished parts for quality.

Pay and Incentives

  • Starting pay of $21.42 per hour.

  • Opportunity to earn incentive pay.

  • $1,500 sign-on bonus, paid in two installments: $750 after 90 days and $750 after one year of employment.

What You’ll Do

  • Set up and operate coiling machines to produce springs and wire parts.

  • Read drawings, work instructions, and sample parts to understand production requirements.

  • Select and install the tools and machine components needed for each job.

  • Adjust machine speeds and settings to keep production running efficiently.

  • Make and inspect sample parts and obtain supervisor approval before beginning production.

  • Use measuring tools to check finished parts throughout the production run.

  • Troubleshoot machine and quality issues and make necessary adjustments.

  • Prepare sample springs for heat treatment when required.

  • Help other operators follow proper machine operation and safety procedures.

  • Check materials and return unused supplies to the correct location.

  • Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures.

  • Report equipment concerns or defective materials to your supervisor.
