Overview:
Associated Spring US, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Accountant to join our Milwaukee team. The right candidate should have a proven track record of leadership and building collaborative teams to bring about results. Able to lead by example and help drive cost savings initiatives, process improvements, and engage operations and finance personnel to champion change initiatives.


Responsibilities: 
  • Maintain general ledger, journal entries, and month end supporting schedules with accuracy.
  • Maintain, analyze, and reconcile asset and liability accounts for accurate reporting.
  • Responsible for balancing inventory on a periodic basis to ensure accurate daily activity.
  • Partner in the development of the annual budget and profit plan for the facility.
  • Lead annual physical inventory counts and reconciliation in collaboration with operations and finance teams.
  • Coordinate and support costing and inventory analysis with operations and finance teams.
  • Coordinate with internal project managers to obtain current information on progress of capital projects and maintaining the fixed assets and depreciation listing.
  • Perform routine fixed asset cycle counts periodically and lead plant wide full fixed asset counts as required.
  • Ensure adherence to key accounting controls and compliance with formal accounting policies and procedures.
  • Maintain proper financial reports/documents required by corporate policies and audit team.
  • Identify and implement process improvements relating to daily, monthly, and annual reporting.
  • Coordinate with shared accounting team in managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, and salary payroll for accuracy.
  • Coordinate with finance and other departments (internally and externally), to obtain appropriate information necessary in completing required audits.
  • Assist finance leader and other leaders with monthly/annual projects as needed.
  • Research state income use and other taxes for purposes of maintaining tax compliance with state and local jurisdictions and oversee the preparation/filing of required returns.
  • Provide mentoring and development opportunities for entry-level to mid-level accounting team member(s).
  • Strong ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks meeting strict deadlines.
Qualifications:
  • Five (5) plus years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with strong skills in written/verbal communication, organizational ability, and proven analytical and project management skills.
  • Respects individual differences and utilizes the diverse thinking and contributions of all. Works across organization boundaries, encourages teamwork and a sense of partnership. Empowers others to achieve desired results and holds them accountable.
  • Impeccable integrity; strong interpersonal skills; able to communicate and engage personnel at all levels of the organization. Emotionally intelligent change agent who challenges the status quo and acts with a sense of urgency to deliver results.
  • Strong functional background in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audit coordination.
  • Strong skills in MS Office software with expertise in Microsoft SharePoint, Excel and PowerPoint are preferred.
 
Education Requirements:
  • BS or BA in Accounting, Accounting, or related field required. A CPA or advanced degree a plus.
